Ideias para se ensinar plantando
Online Publication
Ideias para se ensinar plantando (Ideas for teach planting) is a guide to extracurricular activities for elementary and high school teachers. The publication is the third and final part of the project 'The Power of My Community Plants', from the IPT's Forest Resources Technology Center, which was started in 2017. Before the release of this publication, there were a series of participatory workshops for elementary school students at CEU (Unified Educational Centers) Três Pontes, located in São Paulo suburban area, and also a video that documented the activities at the educational institution.
The aim was sharing the results of the experience at CEU Três Pontes, introducing ideas and activities made in the external areas of the school as a teaching laboratory, changing the classes landscapes, using often idle spaces.
There was a clear transformation in the institution's students, who realized their skills and ability to contribute to these changes.
The project's activities consisted of participatory and practical workshops, addressing gardening techniques and related themes to the green areas of the school and the surrounding community.
